WVRWA's Mobile Water Plant

Before  After

Wow!  What a difference a little elbow grease and some help from your friends can make.  The transformation of this plant into becoming a totally mobile unit was a smashing success and was spearheaded by WVRWA Secretary Treasurer Darrell Wellman.
In addition to planning, coordinating, sanding, grinding, and welding, Darrell raised over $9,000 in private donations to help rehabilitate and retrofit the 100 gpm Neptune Microfloc unit. Following the sandblasting and repainting, the plant was equipped with the latest in monitoring technology and pumping equipment.

Working with Darrell in transforming the plant were Rob Weaver and Richard Smith of Lavalette PSD; and Jack McIntosh, Rick Dennison, Michael Hersman, and Mary Hutson of WVRWA.

The following businesses graciously contributed to the project and without their support this success story would not be possible:

  • Eastern Tank & Utility Service
  • Service Pump & Supply
  • Gould Pumps
  • E.L. Robinson Engineering Company
  • Sherwin Williams Paint
  • C.I. Thornburg Company
  • Hughes Supply
  • American Flow Control
  • W.C. Weil Company
  • Flynn Metering Systems
  • Hach Company

Thank you volunteers and sponsors for your support of WVRWA! Your efforts will help West Virginia communities during times of great need in the months and years ahead.
